Writer's Block: Wake up and smell the coffee
whutness
Given the choice, would you rather sleep in or eat a delicious breakfast? Is there any food you love so much that you'd wake up at dawn or travel a great distance just to eat it?

I'd rather eat a delicious breakfast. :)

Phantom of the Opera
whutness
I watched this movie last night. It didn't take me long at all to realize that I was totally for Raoul and I have a pretty strong dislike for Erik or the Phantom.
I think Christine's relationship with the Phantom wouldn't have been so bad if he never took it to a romantic level and kept it at a father-daughter level. The fact that he lured her in by pretending to be the angel of her dead father is disgusting. She says a few times that he came to her in her sleep, and when she was speaking to her father and I feel that violates her in her most private times.
When he first took her to his lair everything looks magical and amazing, but it shows her friend venturing into the pathway and you see that it is an old shabby hallway so you know everything with the "angel of music" is not what it seems.
I believe her relationship with Raoul is more natural, he could give her the life she deserves. Here are the lyrics from the Phantom: "Close your eyes and surrender to your
darkest dreams!\ Purge your thoughts of the life\ you knew before!" "Leave all thoughts
of the world you knew before!\ Let your soul take you where you\ long to be !\ Only then can you belong to me ..."
Here are the lyrics from Raoul: "No more talk of darkness,\Forget these wide-eyed fears\I'm here, nothing can harm you\my words will warm and calm you\Let me be your freedom,\let daylight dry your tears.\I'm here with you, beside you,\to guard you and to guide you..."
I just think the relationship is much more healthier.

What's your favorite cult film of all time, and why? What are the essential ingredients for a cult classic?

A few favorites are The Heather, The Lost Boys, The Goonies, and I don't know if they count but Breakfast at Tiffany's and Wizard of Oz

Writer's Block: Back from the dead
whutness
If you could experience being dead for one day to learn what happens in the afterlife, and were guaranteed to return to life the following day, would you do it? Why or why not?

I would, but I think I would keep what I found out, a secret for the most part. It'd be nice to know what happens next.

Vampire Diaries RETURNED
whutness
Warning: This post is full of typos.

AND IT WAS AMAZING!!
The return of Damon! <3 <3
He totally makes the show as he is the most bad ass vampire on the show. I'm not feeling all these people trying to kill him.
So Alana is in my opinion desceneded from Katherine. I wonder how Jeremy is going to react?
Also I wonder what role this new girl is going to play in the series

I read this book this past weekend. It is amazing. It kept me interested the entire time and I was never bored. The author did a good job because I absolutely love the main character John, and his father. I did start to hate the love interest Savannah once we got to part three. John was a really good guy and deserved to find someone to spend his life with. I didn't think I was going to like this novel because I tend to not read modern love stories but I really really enjoyed it and now I plan on reading Nicholas Sparks' other novels.

Writer's Block: Snark, who goes there?

Have you ever said something to an online friend that you would never say in person? Do you think it's easier to discount real feelings when a relationship takes place largely online? Can the emotional disconnect become habit-forming?

I have some online friends that I've been friends with for more than a year that I really trust. It is a very unsual and tight group witch is amazing and I am thankful to be part of. I feel like I trust them with my honest thoughts and feelings that my real life friends don't know and I wouldn't be comfortable telling them.
